Paula is an International Coordinator in the Partnership & Exchange Programs Unit of the Study Abroad Office. She works directly with students and support staff at ASU, and exchange partners, institutions, and providers in foreign countries, to coordinate the ASU Partnership and Exchange Study Abroad Programs in Armenia, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Macedonia, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Russian Federation, and Switzerland. Paula holds an MA in Sociology from ASU and a BA in Sociology from South Dakota State University. She has been an advisor at ASU since 2006 and has previously advised ASU students in Barrett Honors College, the College of Health Solutions, and the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts.

Before working at ASU, Paula was an advisor at the University of Minnesota and worked with students in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese, American Indian Studies, and Chicano and Latino Studies. Highlights included studying abroad in Cuernavaca, Mexico and going on a site visit to Toledo, Spain. Paula also had the opportunity to backpack solo across Europe, after completing her master's degree. She traveled to France, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Ireland, and the United Kingdom. Through all of these opportunities, Paula found a true passion for international travel and saw firsthand what a formative experience studying abroad is for students.  She hopes that she can help make studying abroad a reality for as many ASU students as possible!
