Global Intensive Experience (GIE) Programs
As an International Coordinator for Global Intensive Experiences (GIEs), Kimberly works with faculty and staff in the School of International Letters and Cultures, Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College, W.P. Carey School of Business, New College of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences, and School of Community Resources and Development. Kimberly holds an MA in International Education Management from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey as well as a BA in International Relations from the University of California, Davis, where she studied abroad for a semester at la Universidad de Chile in Santiago, Chile.
Prior to joining ASU, Kimberly designed and facilitated programs at a peace and reconciliation centre in Northern Ireland. She also worked for a member of the House of Representatives in Washington, DC and taught English in Valparaíso, Chile. Originally from the Bay Area in California, she first traveled abroad as a teenager to Canada and Nicaragua and has been passionate about exploring the world ever since. Kimberly is excited to work with programs that expand study abroad opportunities because she believes that international experiences and intercultural exchange promote cross-cultural understanding and personal development – and these experiences can be available for all students!
