The Arizona State University Critical Languages Institute offers intensive summer courses and summer study-abroad programs for less commonly taught languages.

CLI offers study-abroad programs for: Albanian, Armenian, Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian, Indonesian, Russian, Ukrainian, and Uzbek.

CLI offers additional languages (Hebrew, Macedonian, Persian/Farsi, Polish, Tatar, and Turkish) on ASU's main campus, without study abroad.

CLI also offers Kazakh through an online program in partnership with Nazarbayev University in Nur-Sultan Kazakhstan

Students with no prior experience in the language of study must participate in on-campus intensive courses prior to departure (see details).
