Study Abroad Video Contest 2014

Description of contest:
Use your creativity and video skills to inspire other students to study abroad!  Videos will be judged based on displaying all aspects of a study abroad experience, including the culture, education, adventure, creativity, ASU pride, and fun.  Be sure that the international locale is clearly visible in some way, such as students interacting with locals and/or famous landmarks.  Special consideration may be given to videos displaying non-traditional locations and/or academic engagment.  Please no scenes that involve partying, alcohol, or violate the ASU Student Code of Conduct https://students.asu.edu/srr/code

Guidelines:
Length: No more than 4 minutes
Deadline: September 15, 2014
Submission: Email your video file to studyabroad@asu.edu with subject ‘Video Contest’ or bring your file on a flash drive to the Study Abroad Office (Interdisciplinary B, 255, Tempe Campus) and we will copy your file to our computer.

Prize:
First place: $250; second place: $150; third place: $100.  The prize will be awarded to the individual who submitted the video.  The video will be displayed on the SAO website, YouTube, and potentially at promotional events in the future.

Eligibility:
Applicants must be enrolled at ASU during fall 2014 to submit a video and be eligible to receive the prize.  Applicants must have participated on an ASU study abroad program in one or more of the following terms: Academic Year 2013-2014, Fall 2013, Spring 2014, Summer 2014, or Calendar Year 2014.  Please only one entry per person.  The ASU Study Abroad Office reserves the right to disqualify submissions that are inappropriate or offensive.  By submitting an entry to this contest you acknowledge that you have the rights to all content used to create your video.  Furthermore, you are giving the ASU Study Abroad Office and its partners permission to use your submissions and comments in various marketing initiatives, publications, and/or the web for the purpose of promoting study abroad.  All submissions, not just those of selected applicants, will become property of the ASU Study Abroad Office and may be used for the purposes above.
