More Information
Locations
Our field work will focus on the Bronze Age village site of Politiko Troullia, Republic of Cyprus. Politiko Troullia lies 25 kilometers southwest of Nicosia, nestled in the foothills of the Troodos Mountains. This buried village offers evidence of agrarian households, decorated pottery, animal husbandry, crop cultivation and metallurgy leading to the advent of cities on Cyprus. Our investigations explore the development of Bronze Age life in the countryside from the picturesque vantage point of Politiko Troullia. This research is conducted under permit from the Department of Antiquities, Republic of Cyprus and in cooperation with the Cyprus American Archaeological Research Institute, Nicosia.
