More Information

Locations

REGENSBURG

Regensburg, the site of the Imperial Diet until 1806 and former capital of Bavaria, has grown from the Roman period to become a city of 151,000 inhabitants. It is located less than two hours from Nuremberg and from Munich with its magnificent art galleries and museums. Participants are encouraged to participate in the various cultural events - theatre, opera, film, concert, historical festivals, university life - offered by this vibrant university city.

Eligibility

Applicants must be serious students, 18 years of age or older, and willing to be adventurous, meet new people, and interact with a foreign culture with maturity and an open mind. A GPA of 2.5 or better is required for those who have attended a university for a year or longer. Because of the classroom location, participants should be able to walk unaided for 30 minutes or longer. Regensburg is a medieval city in some respects and the narrow inner-city streets can have uneven surfaces.

Applications with a $275 non-refundable deposit are due on or before February 4, 2008, but applications will be accepted after that date on a space-available basis.
