France Honors

If you are not currently enrolled at ASU, you must apply for admission at ASU before completing the Study Abroad online application.

May 16 to June 20, 2008

Spend five wonderful weeks living, learning and having the time of your life in Europe’s most exciting capital, Paris. By day we’ll explore the culture and history of this magnificent city, its monuments, museums and its surroundings, including visits to the Mont St Michel, D-Day beaches, Versailles and Monet’s gardens at Giverny. Come evening you’ll have the chance to explore the cafes, clubs and nightlife of the “City of Light.”

Program Cost: $3,875
$400.00 deposit fee required for enrollment. Tuition and fees are not included with the program cost.

PARIS MAY 16 - 19

Begin in Paris for our immersion course, HON 191 The Enlightened Traveler.

CULTURAL TRAVEL MAY 19-25

Group travel to the Hastings Tapestry, the D-Day landing beaches, the American Cemetery, Monet’s famous house at Giverny, the Mont St Michel, and the Loire Valley to see the castles built by French Renaissance kings.

PARIS MAY 25 -JUNE 20

Extended residence in shared studio apartments with full bath and kitchen in Paris.

 

Eligibility

This program is designed for honor students in good standing at the University. Online enrollment is based on first-come first-serve, beginning November 03, 2007 at 8:00am.

Applications with a $400 non-refundable deposit are due on or before February 04, 2008. Non-ASU students will need to apply to the university via the internet before February 04, 2008.

Living Accommodations

While in Paris every student lives in their own studio with one roommate. Studios are fully equipped with kitchens and bathrooms.

Cost Information

The cost of $3875 (subject to change) includes program fees, double occupancy rooms, metro pass (for Paris), museum entrances, program excursions and field trips. Not included: Tuition and fees for 7 credit hours, airfare, meals, books, health insurance and personal expenses.

The Program may allow for time which can be spent in non-Program activities. Participants may wish to travel, sightsee or participate in activities or events in which they have a personal interest. Please note that the participant is fully responsible for making arrangements and for all costs of transportation, lodging, food and additional expenses that may be associated with any non-Program activities.
